On September 6, 2025, within the framework of the 2025 Conference on Connecting Import–Export Supply Chains and E-Commerce organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Tay Ninh Department of Industry and Trade signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote trade, investment, and technical cooperation.
The conference, chaired by Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, Chairman of the Tay Ninh People’s Committee; and Ms. Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, brought together nearly 150 enterprises from 25 countries and territories, including many major global investors and distribution groups.
Under the MOU, the two parties will work closely to establish and develop direct, effective business relationships between Vietnamese and Latvian enterprises. They will regularly exchange information on trade and investment opportunities, support promotional activities such as market research, business missions, and networking, and cooperate to advance agreements related to trade and investment protection.
This memorandum is regarded as an important step in laying the foundation for future trade and investment promotion programs between Tay Ninh and Latvia, contributing to export market diversification and strengthening Vietnam–Latvia economic relations.
