With the support of the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden, the Southern Chapter of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a working session with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on the sidelines of the Vietnam International Sourcing Fair (VIS) 2025.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed in depth the potential for business partnerships and ways to foster bilateral trade and investment, seeing this as a key step to broaden opportunities for enterprises in both countries.

VCCI representatives welcomed LCCI’s proposals, particularly the initiative to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two chambers as a vital foundation for expanding economic and trade cooperation. VCCI expressed full support for the signing and readiness to coordinate detailed discussions and select an appropriate occasion—either during an upcoming Latvian delegation’s visit to Vietnam or a future VCCI mission to Latvia.

This meeting is regarded as an important milestone that opens new prospects for cooperation, contributing to stronger trade and investment ties between Vietnam and Latvia in the near future.
