On the second day of their visit to Vietnam, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark visited Hai Phong City in northeastern Vietnam. The Crown Princess firstly visited Xuan Thanh Ha Nam Cement Plant in Hai Phong. The factory is one of the largest cement factories in the world, and the Danish company FLSmidt has helped the factory achieve greater energy efficiency with their solutions.

The Crown Princess also attended the Vietnam – Denmark networking event on energy efficiency. The Crown Princess later participated in the workshop “Build The Change” hosted by the LEGO foundation in Thanh Nghi elementary school in Ha Nam.

Afterwards, the Crown Princess attended a meeting with representatives from Ha Nam’s People’s Committee together with representatives from Danish companies that wish to strengthen cooperation with the Vietnamese province.

Crown Princess Mary then visited the Tam Chuc pagoda complex. Tam Chuc is Vietnam’s largest pagoda complex and one of Ha Nam province’s most important tourist attractions.
