The Daeg International Trade SIA, a Latvia-based company engaged in international trade, wholesale and retail distribution of food and consumer products, will participate in Vietnam International Sourcing 2026 for the first time.

As part of the 2026 trade promotion program, a Nordic business delegation will once again attend Vietnam International Sourcing 2026, VIS 2026. The Daeg International Trade SIA, headquartered in Riga, Latvia, operates in international trade as well as the wholesale and retail distribution of Asian food and consumer products, and will make its debut at the event this year.
Speaking to Industry and Trade Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Thuy, Director General and Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden, concurrently responsible for Nordic markets, said that The Daeg International Trade SIA is not only looking for products to import and distribute, but also seeking to connect with Vietnamese companies to explore investment cooperation and the establishment of a food production facility in Latvia.
The company’s participation in Vietnam International Sourcing 2026 opens up a new direction for cooperation, potentially enabling Vietnamese products and manufacturing capabilities to participate more deeply in European supply chains.
In its next stage of development, alongside import-export activities in Latvia and the EU, the company aims to expand its role as a trade bridge between Vietnam and Europe. It is seeking Vietnamese manufacturers, exporters and strategic partners interested in developing business in Latvia and the wider EU market.
A notable element of The Daeg International Trade SIA’s strategy is its plan to identify capable Vietnamese food-sector partners to explore the establishment of a manufacturing plant in Latvia.
The objective is to develop a production facility that meets EU standards, serves the European market, and facilitates the integration of Vietnamese ingredients, recipes, processing technologies and products into regional supply chains.
This approach goes beyond conventional merchandise imports. Rather than merely exporting finished products, companies from both sides could jointly develop products, organize production in the local market and adapt product specifications to European consumer demand.

According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden, concurrently responsible for Nordic markets, The Daeg International Trade SIA is interested in connecting with producers of processed foods, agricultural products, spices and beverages, as well as companies with suitable raw materials, recipes or technologies.
Potential partners should have stable production capacity, effective quality management systems and clear cooperation proposals. The parties may discuss raw material sourcing, technology, equipment, branding, investment capital, operating models and roadmaps for meeting EU standards.
Vietnam International Sourcing 2026 will provide businesses with an opportunity to directly assess compatibility, exchange strategic directions and identify the next steps for project research and development.

Previously, speaking to Industry and Trade Newspaper, an H&M representative said that 2026 marks the second consecutive year the Group has participated in Vietnam International Sourcing. The results achieved at the previous event provided an important basis for the company’s decision to continue accompanying the program.
Participation in Vietnam International Sourcing has further strengthened H&M’s positive assessment of Vietnam as an important partner in its global sourcing network.
The H&M representative stated: “Vietnam International Sourcing serves as an important bridge between Vietnamese businesses and international buyers. The event creates opportunities for direct exchanges, relationship building and a better understanding of evolving market expectations.”
Vietnam International Sourcing 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 3-5, 2026 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, SECC, in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring exhibitions, seminars and business-matching activities between Vietnamese enterprises and international importers, distribution systems and partners.
