According to Viet Nam Customs, total trade between Viet Nam and Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Latvia reached nearly US$2.775 billion in the first eight months of 2026, up approximately 17.2% from the same period in 2025.
Viet Nam’s exports to the four markets totalled nearly US$1.8 billion, up approximately 24.4%, while imports reached US$978.6 million, up approximately 5.9%. Viet Nam recorded a trade surplus of around US$817.6 million.
Sweden remained Viet Nam’s largest trading partner among the four markets, with bilateral trade reaching US$1.297 billion. Viet Nam exported US$991 million worth of goods to Sweden, up 16%, and imported US$306 million, down 5.8%.
Viet Nam–Denmark trade reached US$609.45 million. Viet Nam’s exports totalled US$346.8 million, up 27.7%, while imports amounted to US$262.65 million, up 53%.
Bilateral trade with Norway reached US$591.49 million. Viet Nam’s exports rose sharply by 74.3% to US$209.38 million, while imports fell 7.2% to US$382.11 million. Norway recorded the fastest growth in Vietnamese exports among the four markets.
Viet Nam–Latvia trade reached US$276.86 million, comprising US$249.02 million in Vietnamese exports, up 25.7%, and US$27.84 million in imports, up 77.8%.
These figures show that trade between Viet Nam and the four markets continues to grow, particularly Vietnamese exports. Viet Nam recorded a trade surplus with three of the four markets, while considerable scope remains to expand the market share of Vietnamese goods across the region.
