East Asian Food AB, one of the largest importers of Vietnamese food products in Sweden, returned to Viet Nam International Sourcing 2026 (VIS 2026) to discover new products and expand its supplier network. This was the company’s third consecutive year at the event.

Its continued participation shows that VIS has become an important sourcing channel for East Asian Food AB. The event allows the company to meet producers directly, assess products, keep up with market trends and discuss specific requirements for exports to Sweden.

As an importer and distributor of Asian food, East Asian Food AB has experience bringing Vietnamese products into Swedish distribution networks. It connects Vietnamese producers with the local market, from selecting products and discussing quality and packaging standards to arranging imports and distribution.

At VIS 2026, company representatives took part in business-to-business meetings with a range of food producers and suppliers. These included Bếp Gấu Trúc Co., Ltd, Vinafruits, Anhui Native Harvest Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd, VK Global Pro Company Limited, FUJA Foods JSC, Inter Foods Natural, Nature Foods, Tâm Châu Co., Ltd, Donkey Marine Agriculture, Vũ An Food, Khải Hoàn Trading JSC and Tiến Phát Trading JSC.

The meetings covered product ranges, production capacity, sources of ingredients, quality standards and supply capabilities. The parties also discussed requirements for entering the Swedish market, including food safety, traceability, packaging, labelling and consistent supply.

The meetings gave East Asian Food AB an opportunity to explore different product categories, compare suppliers and identify items that may suit its distribution network in Sweden. Meeting in person also enabled more detailed discussions about samples, prices, volumes, delivery terms and the possibility of developing products specifically for the Nordic market.

For Vietnamese companies, East Asian Food AB’s market experience and distribution network offer practical insights into consumer preferences, import requirements and regulations in Sweden and the EU. These insights can help turn contacts made at the event into stable trading relationships.

East Asian Food AB’s participation for three consecutive years reflects its long-term interest in sourcing from Viet Nam. After VIS 2026, the company plans to continue discussions with potential partners on product samples, technical standards and commercial terms, with a view to placing orders.

East Asian Food AB attended VIS 2026 alongside the Association of Vietnamese Businesses in Sweden and other Nordic companies. The delegation was organised and led by the Viet Nam Trade Office in Sweden, which also covers Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Latvia.
